A starter:
The child bride was watching a film on TV yesterday, missed the end.
Today I hunted about to see if I could find the film (naughty, I know) and found I could if I signed up to a site called (no, you find it)
Thought I'd check out the site, and discovered the site was named after the monster worm in the film "Tremors"
This evening, saw an ad including an actor mentioning his appearance in "Tremors"
A few minutes later, scanning programs this evening, and find "Tremors" being shown at nine o'clock.
It might be a while before I come out from behind this sofa........

Interests
Spend far too much time sitting in front of this computer, a habit which began twenty five years ago (Check out the launch date of the Macintosh...)

Anal interest in juggling the savings which need to play a significant part in keeping me going for the rest of my life. ('Interest rate tart')

OK, I'll be first..... Opening ceremony: spent the first ten to fifteen minutes hiding behind the sofa, whimpering. Then it started to grow on me, up to the point where (I sit in front of the processing of the teams as I tap) I feel that it was only rather embarassing, rather than tragic. Perhaps there shall be fireworks. That'll be nice....
General observation: Brits would make sense of some of it (How the heck was I supposed to know the guy in the hat was supposed to be Brunel until the BBC commentator told me?) but what would the rest of the world make of it?
What say you?

O.K. So, anybody else reduced to a brief but manly nose blowing whilst watching Andy Murray's end of championship speech?
It's not Zopa, but it is some of us

OK. So it's not Zopa, but there's a fair few people here who seem to be financially orientated and know their twelve times tables.
I believe I might not be the only youngster around here on whatever the currently politically correct expression might be for what we used to call an old age pension, and the allowances that come with it.
Read the news at all? Are we happy? (I'll rephrase that - are you happy? 'Cos I don't think I am.)
