The reasoning behind date descending is that people generally want to see their most recent activity first. This change makes it consistent with several other date sorted lists on the site (e.g. Lending offers summary, my borrowings, homepage news).
Out of interest, why do you find it more useful to have it ascending?

Hi All,
Just a little context to explain why we had to make some changes to My Loan Book:
As the more technical amongst you have noted, the previous version loaded all the microloans at once, which was putting a too much strain on our application and database servers. The new version is a fairly large rewrite that only loads the data page by page as it is requested. This has resulted in a significant performance increase, especially for those of you who have lent out large amounts of money.
We've just released a patch that should address most of the issues that you've raised in the forum today, and we'll be looking at any outstanding issues in our next release.
Ed.

"Group Loans By" - "Lending Month" is partly broken by this change.
Thanks, we'll take a look at that.

The change also results in less functionality when Javascript is disabled than used to be available on that page with Javascript disabled
While I agree in principle, the reality of the (extemely low) number of people who use browsers without Javascript means we can't really justify the extra development time required to make sure everything works without JS.

1) The CSV Spreadsheet button is now hidden in 'The total Capital Returned' and 'The total Interest Returned Button.
What browser are you using?

2) When the Links on the page are followed, the 'Lending Offer' column remains blank.
This happens with older, unnamed lending offers. We'll take a loot at it.
