Well today I see that I have around a dozen loan applications in processing and all but one are (supposedly at any rate) towards a car. Looks like it's going to be a good August for the forecourts!
A good year for car sales maybe?

Perhaps they are preparing for a nice new 62 plate in September or somebody else's grubby old 61 plate cast-off? ("I can't possibly be seen driving that any more, dahling, it's last year's model! Poor Henrietta would be terribly teased about it next term.")

That reminds me ... must get a loan application in. But is there an upper age limit for borrowers?
Meanwhile, me old diesel 52 plate Focus estate (100k on clock, 50mpg) is going strong. It's comfortable - just like me old cardigan and pair of slippers. It'll do nicely for now ... Zopa returms aren't that good. Must go and get a new battery and a set of tyres though ... Ought to wash all that mud off too ... country bumpkin y'know.
