I received some funds I sent a while ago and hadn't missed  so things certainly seem to be catching up!

First time lender here waiting for my initial payment to show up at Zopa. Unfortunately, the day it was sent in was early morning Saturday. Don't know if the delay is due to RBS or the fact that this is my first payment to Zopa.

Hi ccericks and welcome to Zopa Talk

Moving money by faster payment out of working hours/w/ends doesn't actually get your money to Zopa any faster.  It's all to do with the way RBS send Zopa details of lender funding and they only act on that Mon - Fri.  So in future send payments by FP before 1630, 1700 at the latest on a working day for it to arrive in your Zopa a/c the next working day morning.

As for the delay in this instance the money you sent wouldn't normally have hit Zopa till Tues morning around 0930'ish.  Ideally you should see it hit your account and get e mail notification later this morning.  Did you make sure you included your unique reference when you first set up the payment to Zopa?  That reference tells them which specific lender's account to credit so if you missed it off it'll take them longer to 'find you'.  Just a thought and you might want to double check the account number/sort code/unique reference details you set up with your bank today.

If your money doesn't arrive by Friday morning say 1000 then I'd phone Zopa but keep an eye on this thread and your Zopa e mails for any funding delay information.
I should give myself a daily smiley allowance - sometimes I use too many!!

Ccericks, the best thing is to give the Zopa team a call on 020 7580 6060.  They're on the phones from 9am.
