I applied for a loan on Sunday night, and I read in the FAQ that it takes 24 hours (Mon-Fri) to have a decision. I haven't had anyone contact me and my loan is still in review, now it's late Tuesday afternoon.
Are all loans usually reviewed within 24 hours? How long should I leave it before I try to contact someone? I don't want to seem like I'm being too impatient!

Just double checked my spam folder again, nothing there I'm afraid. I have checked my account here on the site also, it still says "in review". I've sent them a quick message today, and if I don't hear anything back tomorrow, I think I may give them a call. Three times I've even checked that I've typed my number and email address correctly too, it all looks fine!

Hi Mockingjay, that sounds like a good idea, the call tomorrow if you've not heard anything.  They're obviously working through a back log but for your peace of mind it'd be nice to know how your application is progressing.
I should give myself a daily smiley allowance - sometimes I use too many!!

Do let us know how you get on....I have been waiting 3 days as well...hoping they are just busy and there isn't a problem (there shouldn't be but it makes you nervous when you don't hear anything).  Maybe I will give them a call this afternoon.

Hi Julala, give them a call now if you can.  They'll be able to tell you where your application stands in the underwriting queue.  I'm a lender and I still have borrowers in processing (ie under review) from Saturday so Zopa are still clearing the demand backlog and obviously requesting further information before they make a decision on the applications.  It isn't acceptable that neither of you have had any e mail contact from them since you applied, hopefully when you both speak to them they'll apologise profusely

Thanks for your help.  Turns out the underwriter tried to contact me yesterday by telephone but I was out at the time.  I sent a message to them via the website and have been contacted promptly to provide further information.  Hopefully now everything will move along quickly.   :D

Does this mean if you apply for a loan - you don't get an standard email acknowledgement?

"Thank you for your application - we will be in touch shortly"

No you don't.  You can track your application in your online account though but until approved/rejected you don't see a change in status or receive email notification.

All good now anyway - I suggest if others are experiencing any delay to get in contact with Zopa - they may have been trying to contact you.

I applied for a loan last night, got a call at work this morning, and had my loan approved, all in less than 24hours!
I also had an email tonight to confirm, great service from Zopa.
