[Duck]

I've been a lender now for a few months and a 'lurker' (guest) on this forum for the same length of time.
The reason for this post is simple, it is to say thanks.

Back reading of all the posts (yes really!) has not only brought me to a stage where I have a suspicion that I am comfortable with the decisions that I am making but has also stopped me making too many newbie mistakes (may be delusion but time will tell   ).
Having sorted out risks/returns and had a good 'play' around with offers and rates I have looked and (and put off) a spell of rr fishing although my love of chocolate has found me indulging in a spot of 'easteregging'.

As a professional engineer I have a love of figures, graphs and spreadsheets so you can only imagine my excitment on discovering geoff's spreadsheet and ljays graphs, it was these 'two' items in particular that made me register and post.

Now I realise that 'introduction' posts are not common (!) here and that the zapper might find me out (nothing unusual)but it is not in my nature to 'take' and not at a minimum say thanks, which is why I am saying exactly that!

Apologies for the incorrect spelling of your 'name' above, confusing that, it is spelt differently on the foot of the graphs! Yes, they are very useful .....

I agree, thanks are in order - there's a lot of financial talent around here, providing no end of help.  I just wish I understood more of it, but I'm just a simple poor OAP, easily confused, as many here will confirm...  

By the way - you haven't seen my... oh, never mind....
