The problem Zopa will have shortly is not only are the established Lenders jumping ship but anybody who is considering joining zopa will look at these boards or generally do a search on zopa and all the comments are going to be negative.

Look at Prosper, they have had a large amount of bad debt due to the Sub Prime market they deal with and even if we could lend there, I for one would not touch with a barge pole.

The key to zopa sorting this out is Communication, Communication, Communication.
We know things aren't perfect and need working on but ignoring the fact or working on it in secret with out Communicating is just alienating.

Zopa Lenders tend to be more maverick and willing to try new things and as a result tend to be more of the intellegent end of the population (Although not convinced with some of the low rates offered). As a result Lenders question more and want answer and want them fast.

I am still behind zopa as I think it is a great model and has massive potential, however if it keeps on as it is at present it will not survive.
I only have a few grand (What I call Play money) testing the waters in zopa and I won't vastly increase that unless my confidence is increased.

P.S.
Auto Relend still broken. Tried switching off and back on to see if that sorts it but no joy yet.

Nice to know that the membership is kept informed with what is happening.

You almost sounded seriously surprised

Seems to be working for me.

Have you got sufficient contracts pre-signed?

I'm not one of the Big Boys like you deddington (No Offence intended wink.gif ) so don't need to sign the contracts.
Just had a load of loans come back from processing to manually added the funds now.
